About Us

 Our Mission

“To Preserve and share African and other Ethnic Culture and Traditions through the Arts, Performance and Presentation.”

We provide educational, artistic and technical programs, as well as opportunities and resources that incorporate the diverse cultures and history of Africa by educating all interested persons through visual arts, cultural dance and music presentation and workshops; and to host events to showcase and celebrate diverse traditions and culture.

ACC is a linguistically and culturally competent advocate for immigrant entertainers and performers. We also act as a booking agency with the purpose of protecting ethnic entertainers from exploitation and mistreatment to insure that our artists are paid fairly.

Our Values

Sharing of our traditions and culture.

Respect for the immigrant History, as well as respect for the immigrant artists and vendors under our programs.

Fairness for entertainers of Color.

Empowerment for all artists and entertainers from Immigrant Communities and people of Color

We Envision

To establish and sustain a Free-Standing  Multi-Disciplinary Center where current and future generations of Africans living in the New York community can participate in activities that promote their culture and heritage. By having a space for itself, the African Cultural Center can find all of its featured programs in one location.
