Our Vision

To establish and sustain a Free-Standing Multi-Disciplinary Center where current and future generations of Africans living in the New York community can participate in activities that promote their culture and heritage. By having a space for itself, the African Cultural Center can find all of its featured programs in one location.

The need for the thousands of African people and their children (of the 5 boroughs of New York), to have a place to regroup, reconnect, and represent themselves is vital. Africa is composed of 5 regions (North, East, South, West, and Center), and they are all represented in New York. By have a Free-Standing Center, the people can solidify themselves, and feel recconnected with their continent of Africa.

Our Mission

To provide educational, artistic and technical programs, as well as, opportunities and resources that incorporate the diverse cultures and history of Africa. Africans and the generations of children who are born in The United States, can connect and communication to their rich heritage. In fact, people from all walks of life can come and participate in the traditional activities of Africa.
